Me Vs Me

A damaged lion living inside me
 I feed it raw meat

A strange thing ,
  to nourish what could kill you
In the hopes it does not kill you

 Daily, drinking the poison it pours
Yet Wondering why I feel so damaged

Addicted to some type of sadness,
Sadness has a depth
to which no happiness can ever have .
 
And like the moon,I have a side
 So dark that even the stars couldn't shine on it
 So cold that the sun couldn't burn on it

I want to get rid of this part of me,
    I want to be new
But first,I must be ready to burn myself,In my own flames
Because how could you rise a new
  If you have not first become ashes?
