Me and Tommy

Hey, said I
To Tommy,
Who was lying nearby.

Do you believe in all these human superstitions,
That if a cat crosses you,
You'll lie in a critical position?

Do you believe in these
Religion, rituals practices,
War, bloodshed and hatred,
Just for peace and unity?

To my surprise,
Tommy barked NO as reply,
We do not believe in any of these.

We consider all of us as same,
An' we do not do not blame others,
As you'll did.

We try to live in harmony,
But due to administrative boundaries,
We preferred to divide our territories.

But the main difference is that,
We don't run after money and power,
And we help our fellows in need,
Whether the belong to different creed.

And at last for your blind superstitions and that cat,
We don't let a cat cross our way,
We chase her down,
Till she jumps into the subway.
