Lies

Michael Yin 2022 (Kumasi)

We felt warmed by the days
We lighted our faces upon the sun
We spoke out of tales
Evenly I spoke less
You brought the joy out of your lips
Some hopes I felt by your sayings
Secretly they blind folded my core
Some acts that went with truth
I thought matured you were
We played the game
So well and perfectly we played
Until I seek distraction
Blames you will never put upon your shoulders
I keep my words to myself
I seek for no joy these days

About this poem

Two lovers went side ways when they thought their words would bring no hope. Rather they felt for their lies and suffers the trauma of missing days.
