Cherished Memories

About this poem

October 22,2017 my oldest son was killed and since that day the month of October has been so increasingly daunting that I often times overwork and and can't pull myself out of depression. A patient of mine passed away two days ago and because I am working so much, we talked and found we had so much in common. He inspired me to keep my chin up and told me to continue writing and keeping faith in myself and my future. So instead of wallowing in pity, I chose to write my first small poem in years for his daughter who is suffering.  more »
