Can I please see you one day?

I want to know you
Not from reading the holy book
I want to know you from your look
I want to see you one day
So you can answer my numerous questions
Not from within me
I want to hear your voice
I want to see you in your glory

I know I might die
But I'll die happy
I'll tell the tale
Even in the land of silence
That I did see you even when I was still flesh and blood
