Tattoos

His tattoos, they always get me,
always draw me back in.
The way the dark lines sweep and
dip and curve and tell a story better
than his words ever could,
it always enchants me.
His inky black hair and dark
eyes always got me too.
I was never particularly fond of
his personality, though.
On the inside, he’s ugly.
Still, even now, there’s a certain
darkness about him, that
pulls me in.
