The Endless Cycle of Hell

The Endless Cycle of Hell
2006 - Australia suffers worst drought in 1000 years
Baths in tubs,
Endless heat,
Stuck, in the mud,
Of what used to be dams.
Stuck, in the reality of life,
From what used to be dreams.
The question of the year,
Will it rain…..
Before it's too late.

2016 - Central West communities on high alert for major flooding.
Trapped,
You're all alone,
surrounded by a sea of temporary lakes and rivers.
Trapped
Program a little different now,
Wake up, get dressed,
Trapped
School’s in the kitchen,
Go driving with dad to check the stock.
Trapped
Shovel in hand you free yourself…
But only a little ‘cause your trapped

2019 - State of the drought shows dams empty and NSW drowning in debt.
Dust caked on your skin so thick you've changed colour.
The taste of gritty lunch stuck in your mouth.
The dry tickle at the back of your throat,
just waiting for the dust to pass.
Gone,
Dust storms so heavy you can’t see your hand in front of you,
so solid it blacks out the sun.
Gone,
It’s your turn to turn on the sprinklers,
the only hope of settling the dust,
but you can’t even find the tap.
Crawling along the dust you feel your way along the hose to the tap.
Gone,
Finally the air clears enough…
For you to see the next dust storm rolling across the horizon.

The endless cycle of hell, a place that we can only escape by working together.

4 out of 5 people go to a place in nature when thinking of somewhere they were happy

Sometimes,
when I close my eyes I see a tree,
in one of the paddocks on my farm.
It’s fallen down
and sits softly by the edge of a dam.
It's my happy place,
and I know that if I get there, I will be safe.
I see my older sister and our horses,
and there are no buildings in sight.
There is only the sound of a gentle breeze, and the birds singing.
I can not imagine a world without nature.
What will happen if we live in a world without passion,
without compassion?
If we just ration,
maybe,
we can save our nature.

Without land where we can just go and sit,
there is no longer a guarantee,of tomorrow,
and,
We are the only people who can fix it.
Because if we don’t make a change,
the pain and loss will rage
and in exchange we will be left with,
nothing.
and the change of the world will leave it
deranged.
We want our children,
living in the future,
living without worry,
that their safe place might get taken from them.
But we have to change things now,
Before,
It's too late.
