Eyes

Charlene 1967 (New Orleans)

The eyes they see alot.
If the eyes like what they see
that visual is stored in the minds memory.
A visual that can be revisited anytime it wants to see.

The eyes they see more than it should.
If the eyes don't like what it sees
that visual will then be stored deep within the mind where it is  hidden and then for got . Existing only but not remembered clearly.

For what the eyes see and what the mind remembers mold us humans who we end up being.

A sight so beautiful is a sight worth remembering, a sight so awful is a sight forgotten .The eyes see everything.

About this poem

What our eyes see can be wonderfull, and can be stored to remember always. Somethings we see can leave us traumatized
