Soul



What is a soul?
Can it be captured, or let go?
Tormented and Tangible, or
Weightless and Unfathomable?
Is it a whispered desire
or a shouted anguish?
Perhaps we will never know.
Perhaps we already do.

About this poem

This poem was written when I sat and contemplated how many different beliefs about the soul there are and what someone’s soul means to them is not the same as the next person’s, yet we all value our soul to some degree.
