____________
It's a date night
and you are not here
It's the second night
again, the crickets are here
It's a fortnight
and you are nowhere
It's twilight
again, I'm just here.
A night is coming.
The birds are vanishing,
the butterflies too.
like the dark commands fears.
An end is coming.
Your love is vanquishing,
the gifts too.
like the earth commands tears.
A winter is coming.
Your heart is wavering,
the attention too.
like the cold commands dread.
A time is coming.
My peace is quivering,
the trust too.
like the world commands dearth.
A day is coming.
My wound is vapouring,
the memories too.
like the sun commands warmth.

About this poem
This is about a lady who is being ghosted by her boyfriend. He has not broken up with her but she can see the signals. He is missing dates and not giving her attention as he used to. He has also stopped sending her gifts. So, she is waiting for the day he'd officially call it quit and she is also certain she will heal from losing him.
