I Know

I Know

I know a few things (well)
I know my limits

I know the world
Works well without me. I know

Not all who die by the sword
Lived by it

Not all hoary heads
Honoured their parents

Not all who pay their dues
Get their due

Not all who sow in tears
Reap in joy

There’s something
Written in the stars

So I dropped the glasses
Black and white

But when I’m not sure of anything else
I know there is God

About this poem

The poem is simple & self explained. It's about the obvious and inexplicable contradictions that are sometimes found in life, or those questions without answers.
