From Walls to Fences

My nightmares invaded my
Reality like viral infections fall
Weapons of bricks gathered by
Until it formed my concrete wall

And the walls began to surround
My soul protecting my heart
From plunging nonstop down
And insides slowly torn apart

Prevention of unwanted company
No vision to see who was safe
Now you can’t get the best of me
Restricted entry to my place

Desires to view the other side
Of my wall motivated me to
Renovate no longer wanna hide
A strong fence then I’ll see too

Fences of barb wire replacement
Cautious views maintains access
Fears buried in my basement
Invites only by my request.
