Freedom

Prabhgun Kaur 2009 (Srinagar, Kashmir)

                            FREEDOM

Freedom is not having hands free
Freedom is an emotion
Freedom is a feeling
Freedom is a thought
Freedom is determination
Freedom is an ideology
Freedom is a dream
Freedom is an opinion
Freedom is an Expression
Freedom is sacrifice
Freedom is servitude

Freedom is the laughter of kids
Freedom is the pittar patter of rain
Freedom is the chirping of birds
Freedom is the dance of peacocks
Freedom is the unconditional love and affection of a mother
Freedom is the possessiveness of a father
Freedom is the soothing music of a flute
Freedom is the aroma of gardenia
Freedom is the sparkling of a diamond
Freedom is the saltiness of the sea
Freedom is the sweetness of honey
Freedom is the caravan of dreams

Freedom is pure brotherhood
Freedom is the voice of the mind
Freedom is fearlessness
Freedom is friendship
Freedom is an artist's master piece
Freedom is the work of a carpenter
Freedom is the procession of memories
Freedom is living your dreams
Freedom is breathing freely in the environment
Freedom is a sigh of relief
Freedom is raising voice against the injustice
Freedom is the journey to befriending your own self
Freedom is the way to contentment

Freedom is not by asking for it
Freedom is by giving it
Freedom is not owed by someone's mercy
Freedom is the right of everybody
One cannot give freedom to somebody
Unitil he escapes from the slavery of his own illusions
