Childhood

Sometimes, I wish , we could go back in time.
To the life that was filled with stories and rhymes.

To when our worries were as simple as , what to play next.
Or choosing from a variety of chocolates , which one will be the best.

To the time , when making your parents proud was as simple as taking a nap.
When the only remedy you needed for your fears, worries etc, was your mother's lap.

When we had actual games to play , like Margo polo and seven stones.
And used imaginations to create new ones,
Not apps in our phones.

How silly were we, that we wanted to grow up fast.
Now wishing for a little longer our childhood had last.

Now left with only photos, smells, memories etc for us to remind,
To a time that's lost, and can be replayed only in our mind.
