Needs And Wants To Need
Lawrence S. Pertillar 1947 (Connecticut)
From an entertaining point of view.
Anyone can be dressed to impress.
Yet...
A puppet without its strings to pull,
Would be difficult to accept and expect...
This same puppet that entertains,
Could walk, talk and alone express itself.
Many have needs and wants to need,
Their pretensions left kept hypocritical.
Many have needs and wants to need,
Truth and reality believed threats to fear.
Too many have needs and wants to need,
Their stereotypical images of others kept...
Distorted, comical and captured to depict,
As people limited in mentalities.
With them caricatured as dummies.
Or something less to disrespect.
Many have needs and wants to need,
A keeping kept...
Of their lives fictioned to delude left hidden.
And it to dream done to wish,
Whomever they pick to depict incompetent...
Are not as capable as the ones,
Going out of their way to prove...
Themselves better than anyone else.
With a doing to take steps done to expect,
Their choices to choose to pick as fools.
Done to do at their best.
Will never be suspected.
Although,
Many with needs to want to need...
To be seen as 'All That' and more.
Maybe able to do this,
Within their own comfort zones.
However...
Alone beyond those comfort zones?
They prove to be,
Thoughtless without common sense to use.
And yet kept is the image that impresses.
Regardless...
If their strings have been cut.
To discover them puppets.
But still supported,
As caricatures picked to represent...
Stereotypical images entertaining.
With a love to see,
Them stumbling around.
Doing their best to get up off their butts!
