OPPORTUNITY KNOCKS.

Ehizojie Comfort Omonigho 2003 (Lagos State)

Standing at the door
Knocking and calling
For my attention by knocking
You knocked and knocked
Your legs aches and fingers wearied

Opportunity, wait for me
I'll be no my way to the door
Let me finish doing nothing
Opportunity, be patient
For I am yet to come for you

No, enough!
Many doors are ready for me
You kept me outside, shivering and standing
I, opportunity, will only come once
Have me in or let me go
I'm afraid of being perversion
Goodbye, no more will you see

Now, I'm in the pool of tears
I thought you'll wait
You have gone back home
Opportunity, please come back
I am done doing nothing
I wish opportunity can be regained.

About this poem

As humans, we all have our expectations. But, what will you do when an opportunity comes knocking? Make use of it! Because opportunity will come, but once. Watch it. It will surely come. Embrace it and you won't regret.
