XY

Linda 2003 (Lagos)

woke up a female again,   all that will ever matter.
Linda, all I will ever be referred to as until an M. R. S is added,
maybe I don't want that.
I am tired of being what society sees,
a weaker version of the impressively less worthy male,
all I will ever be referred to as
the extra effort still doesn't count cause "XY"
for some reason society feels like it gets to decide what I do, don't walk like that, don't wear that, ladies don't act in that manner
I couldn't care less
extra judged cause I cannot penetrate
the price I pay for not owning a dick I wish straps count.
more often than I want, the ability to ignore fades off and I run into the trap.
best graduating a female for the first time and the speech is cut short
females can't study engineering try medicine or maybe microbiology
you cant confront him you are just a little weak girl.
Your evidence doesn't count
I am tired, exhausted but I can't stop
at the end of the day, I go just turn rebel,
trying to make a change for once but who go take  babe serious now
ups dey Sha, at least nobody believes a little innocent girl did it
putting up an Oscar-worthy performance as always, my specialty in fact
