Within The Green

The rocks call me into the green,

There, I can hear the waterfalls laugh,

And I can feel every grain of dust dance,

To the maddening rhythm of the wind,

The forests whisper and giggle at the sky,

Their banana leaves welcoming the petrichor,

As the rain kisses each bud,

With the emollient love of broken clouds.

The mountains sing, to their faraway lovers,

Proclaiming their dallience,

To the ever-so-loving sun.

As dusk sets in, and noon bids a reluctant goodbye,

The fireflies declare their warm presence,

To the shaky, restless grass;

While the Nightingale narrates,

To the baby birds,

A story of yonder deserts, deprived of

All forms of life and joy.

And when they melt down to a drowsy sleep,

And the moon is wholesome with affection,

An ineffable, serene play between the sky and land,

Comes into action in the theatre of stars.

Brooding within such miracles of nature, my friend,

How can one ever feel tired?
