Wind

Wind:-

When I was young I was so full of life…
I have flown past mountains and many-a-strife…
But now I am contaminated, so old and gray…
Struggling through places where I once used to play…

Smoke and pollution are cutting through me…
Killing me, slow and steady…
The day will soon come when I will fail to run…
Then polluting me will no longer be fun…

For when I die, the world will pass…
And protecting me, is no big task…
I have tolerated it a lot, but can no more…
For it hurts me deeply to the core…

You can start by pooling cars…
And planting trees in your barns…
Start turning off lights when not in use…
Heed my advice, recycle and reuse…

This will heal my withered body…
And prevent the world from becoming shoddy…
I will be forever grateful to thee…
If you will not harm me and let me be…

About this poem
