Trusted-betrayal
Hmm!
If sand could have gotten tongue
Oh, my inking mind!
What an awful story it would have told?
Aye! Sand saw, and the heart buried
Alas, Man mocked man.
How sad for you and all of us...
To accommodate laughing-frowning teeth,
That round us to fuss, flirt, and flutter
And we think the modest mild they make;
But could the mind interpret what eludes eyes?
Alas, if sand could have gotten tongue...
If sand could tell a tale of what it saw,
Ah, my bleeding pen!
What a paradox could it have told?
What secret could not disclose?
What footprints could it not unearth?
Oh, your reputation and integrity, would I fear,
Rather, paddle with a muddy board to disappear;
Cause folks think you modest,
But If sand would have gotten tongue?
