Our ceased forever

Wrip out my hearts to see if It still bleeds for you
It stopped beating for you
It hanged itself with its arteries to put its pain at ease for you

The reigns you had needed release
With that we both couldn't agree
nothing was really cleared After the war we both had feared

Just dropped off my tears on the corner of our last altercation
Light inhalations of residue after pulled triggers in that conversation
We were a perfect imperfection

Blinded by our fixations on an infinity
With love that offered temporary eternity.

About this poem

The poem is reflecting on what the relationship used to be. The first stanza is the final straw of trying to show what's left of the heart that was once left in hands that shake. What happened to that heart while in the hands of the temporary possesser is fully expressed. Then the poem reveals what happened on the day of the actual break up where the ex lover couldn't fathom the idea of losing the writer and how the writer just wanted out and how difficult it was to do so. The writer is revisiting the last moment ( the break up) in order to close that chapter completely by reflecting on the reality of that break up and overall the relationship as a whole.
