Nostalgic View

If I met my ten years old self someday,
What would I tell her?
Would I warn her about the future,
and the bad things yet to come?
Would I explain her about the struggle,
she has to face in her life?
Or would I left her to be naive to keep having fun?
Because my ten year old self
believed that, the world is a beautiful place.
Even though, I’m mature now
And six years have passed since then
I would give everything I have now,
To view my life, through those chatoyancy eyes again !

About this poem

This poem is written by a 16-teen year old girl who feels nostalgic about her childhood. She is confused that what question would she ask her 10 year old self or explain her about the situations she has faced till now or the poet would let the child live the remaining years happily and carefree. In the end she also says that she is ready to give everything she has to view her life through the eyes of the 10 year old child again.
