La Familia

Joy, is the fitting word
To describe a family.
A place where every member
Is interconnected like a cord
Functioning like a unit,
This is where love deserves credit.
It is a truly a merit.

Till hard times befall upon
the family like an avalanche.

This is the part where love pleads in
agony to be avenged.
But alas... Love is but a gentle soul,
love hath no fear or vengeance.
It has never been rooted in malice.
Love, like family is merely bountiful.
Hurting in hard times can
douse out the fire of love
like a dam-full.
Leaving love in limbo,
drenched in despair...
Where words spoken are so graphic
that they are as vivid as arrows
piercing your chest.

A family unit turned into an obsolete dwelling...

Although this is no reason
for cringing.
This is when love truly
comes into its own.
Love not given up on, comes
back stronger as a seed
that has grown.
Watered by the storm, bringing along with it
tender loving care.

The humble seed that molds and edifies
the souls involved.
The humble seed that is rooted in love.
The humble seed richer than any diamond.
The humble seed that grew into
A proserous, comforting tree.
