Grief

No one sees me,
I hide and appear in lonely moments,
I appear in moments of pressure,
I make sure I visit once in a while,
I am grief.

I let you live like all is good,
I let you blossom for a season,
I let you be yourself for sometimes,
I let you live or survive,
I am grief.

I want to be felt,
I want to be understood,
I want to be noticed,
I want a voice,
I want to be swaddled,
I am grief.

About this poem

Grief lives inside of many of us. The cure is not yet found. We just learn how to live with it.
