Evergreen

They cried as their homes were destroyed,
And slowly disintegrated,
The unnoticeable sounds of sorrow raced my mind,
Stop these monstrous destructions,
Caused by our inhumane actions,
He has no heart as he picked up the axe and strikes again,
Even tho its last wish was to breathe out,
One last time, For his life.

About this poem

This poem strives to highlight and bring to our attention how we are treating our planet and tries to underline deforestation and its effects on biodiversity. Our actions are portrayed selfish as without nature we wouldn't be able to survive either due to our codependent relationship.
