Consciously dreaming

I'm laying in bed
Consciously dreaming
And I see myself writing this poem just for you.
I know that you probably already know this, but
Let me tell you one last time.

I just want to let you know
That life for me just hasn't been the best ride
I've had so many times, where I felt like giving up
Because it all just
Got way too much
For me.

It hurts to hold on, but I won't let go
Because letting go is just not who I am
But all this pain makes it harder to bear
I feel myself slipping, the weight is just way too heavy, I swear
And It's pulling me down
Every minute and every second
I feel my grip getting a little lighter
But I won't let go
No I can't let go
Because this life of mine is worth living
And I know I'm worth holding on too.

So I just want to let you know that you'll be okay
It might take some time, but you'll be okay
And I know that along the way
It'll hurt more
And you will cry more
And you'll think about ending it just once more
Just like all those times before
But in the end my love you'll be okay
Because this life of yours is worth living
And I know that you're worth holding on too.

About this poem

This poem is about me telling myself that no matter what hardships I may endure in life I will be okay. It's about me not giving up on myself and having hope that one day I will see the brighter side in this journey we all call life because in the end I am worthy, we all are. It's about finding hope within the chaos.
