HOW DID L GET HERE
My heart beat flutters,
Eyes shot blood fuming with anger
as l look around lm surrounded
Despondency loath, regret, and fear embraces me
I am rolled by my own sorrows into a ball
My pulse explodes through my
Body, bells, and whistles screaming
In my brain
HOW DID I GET HERE?
My fingers quiver
hands form fists in despair,
Maybe trying to fight for my redemption
I fail dismally to stretch up
loosen up and live up
Tears blind my eyes on the verge of falling
My weakness disparages me
I shouldn't be crying but whatever it makes me wanna scream
HOW DID I GET HERE?
My soul has been murdered
I've been robbed of my purity and pride
My supreme ego has just been crushed
I've been shut empty and hollow
Every sense of cologne of a man that I breathe,
makes me wish the earth can swallow me up
low and behold, what it is that has managed to,
Cut me down without purpose
HOW DID I GET HERE?
It's the temple that disquiets the universe
Who is to be blamed when a bird has clipped
wings, tackled inside its own cage?
My miseries call out for grace
What grace do I conceive in a heart's grave?
Ghoulish paces and fanged animals, water filling,
my nose, mouth, and lungs, feel like a spike of
A dream in reality
HOW DID I GET HERE?
I give myself a window of time
My heart battering my chest
As tough prizefighter was using as,
a punching bag at my wit's end
It is a bone of contention that freaks me
Leaving eyes sunken and lifeless
Aghast by their dead silence,
Tears glisten on my face at their back
So many times being defeated and disowned
HOW DID I GET HERE?
