Don’t Even Think It

Richard Groff 1957 (Pottstown, Pa.)

Don’t think about the sinful man
The one you used to be
Don’t give him clothes
Of drunkenness and immorality
The night is nearly over
And the day is almost here
Let’s put aside our darkest deeds
And learn to live; no fear
Don’t be afraid of terrorists
And men who only kill
Instead we’ll leave room for God’s wrath
Repay He surely will

Clothe yourself with the Lord Jesus Christ
And don’t think about how to gratify
The desires of the sinful nature
