Open wounds

Oluwatobi Moremi

something has torn me
my wounds open yet not
open laced with fiery pain
yet my lips are voyaging
agony spread over my lids
yet drift into obscure

something has torn
my four walls
yet Ramadan has
come for my tongue

something so deep
yet I cannot nurse!
