Hate & Love

Darin Brent Milman 1980 (New York)

Hate & Love

Why do some choose to hate,
while others opt for love?
It's those who hate and instigate,
oh, what destruction they create.
It's love that I'm in favor of.
I think I know I'm right.
All who love must rise above,
for hate does not unite.
But if you choose to love,
and don't acknowledge hate,
then it will stand alone,
without its lovely mate.
And this shall be the fate of hate.
But if hate can't keep away from love,
then unite the two to rise above.
And hate will soon regain its mate,
and this shall be the fate of love.
