We swam Rivers of salty tears and ink

Rivers of ink run over parchments, and one has to think how many salty tears rain down one's cheek.
When a sea of emotion rocks the hand which cradles one's quill..
Threadbare souls stitch together words in hope to heal scars,
 but some cut too deep
Autumn comes and goes and with it
Weary minds try to turn over a new leaf,
Before winter comes back around and turns one's heart cold.
Secluded in your mind the mental shackles pull tight and your inner self screams
Almost on the brink, who would think
A complete stranger would become a link to your chain and over time you would share each others pain.
Somebody who encourages you to wear you scars with pride, who offers you a warm blanket of support until your heart thaws
And one smiles with a wnk and thinks
We swam together in rivers of salty tears and ink.....

About this poem

I was going through a tough time and met some wonderful people who helped me through the darkness and this was written for them.
