Perseverance

Opting for seclusion
May not be the conclusion.
For the days are dull
Sleep is a total lull.
Resilience; An enigma?
A bloody, old stigma.
I might not fear
My blood, sweat and tear.
The road is a maze
Ignorant to the gaze.
A complete sight of repugnance
Not a mouth-watering indulgence.
The path is mine alone
No tantrums shall be thrown.
You can have my deaf ear
For the truth is sheer.
This life is brief
No room for grief.
I stride all alone
Let the rest mourn.
Dismay can linger
I won't move a finger.
Without further ado
I must continue.
Why should I conceal?
Let my flaws be my seal.
For they play second fiddle
I am not a riddle.
Endeavoring to this journey
May not be bags of money.
With hardship comes ease
Hold your horses, please!
Life comes with a teaser
Don't be a people pleaser.
Your success shall speak
Not the validation you seek!

About this poem

This is a very first poem by me. I composed it after I had a rough day at Medical School. Believe it or not, I took barely one hour.
