Artist's nightmare

Michael Dobbs 1960 (Te Aroha)

I knew it was there
But all I could do was stare

The canvas was blank
It wasn't long before my heart sank

Further and further it went
This was not time will spent

Is it time to eat
Or am I just getting cold feet

Do I need to clean the floor
In my mind there is a war

I needed help
No, the other help

The one that frees the mind
The one to art more inclined
