I stayed!

Siziphiwe Majali 2003 (Port St Johns)

I stayed!
Even if i knew that you are miserable.
I stayed!
Even though i knew that you don’t love me.
I stayed!
Knowing very well that I’ll be a slave to you.
I stayed!
Even though i was your punching bag.
My mom said “be strong my child”
I stayed!
because i wanted to see her happy.
I didn’t knew you’re such a crook.
I thought you admire me more than you do to yourself.
Little did i know, ‘i dig my own grave!’
You’re so miserable and heartless.

But i stayed.
