Lord
Lord Of The Worlds
Oh lord, I am drifting on an endless rough sea.
The greater the sea of my knowledge is, the greater the shores of my ignorance.
You have no form, yet there are carved images of you.
I looked for you in every place of worship in vain.
Why do you not peer from a portal in the sky so that we may see you.
If that is where they say you are, in the sky.
Every saint and sage is loved, every shrine revered.
None have sung your praises or even attempted to seek you.
Don't you love us more than a mother loves her child?
Why can't we smell you like the fragrance of flowers?
Why can't we feel you like a breeze blowing through our hair?
Why don't we feel you like the sorrow and joy in our hearts?
Why don't we see your colors like a rainbow in the sky?
You are all that, and more we failed to recognize your presence all along.
