The sun sets everyday
The winter returns every year
You left us bereaved, left us alone
Just to remind
Some things do not have a point of return.
On this theatre of this life
Fate stabbed us so hard.
We felt betrayed, nothing can compensate
Time might heal the wound
How will we hide the scar.
Memories Memories
How shall we subdue them
How to hide tears, how to hide the pain
You left us behind lone
Giving thousand reasons to miss
Sorry we couldn’t understand you
Sorry we presume you were ok
Sorry we didn’t see the struggle
Sorry you have been through hell
Sorry we couldn’t be there
where you needed us most.
About this poem
So, the story goes like this. We are small friends circle working in hospitality industry in Mumbai. We all are struggling towards the future of ourselves. So among us one of our friends gets through study visa for Newzealand. He goes there and settles with his wife. We all hope that he is living his dream life. Friendship slowly fade among us. Later on we see this friend of us suddenly starts to message us more often than usual. We do not notice anything until one day we hear of his death due to cancer which he was battling from past 1 year. We were shocked, we regretted that why we didn't ask if everything was okay on his side. Lots of word to tell him but he is no more to listen.
