Free verse
when we are older
may we meet again
once our minds
are not so hectic
but for now
let us part ways
let us say goodbye
for the reason that
i am madness and chaos
to your mind and thoughts
and you simply are poison
to my still beating heart

“Part Ways” is a free verse poem. It describes a toxic relationship which they acknowledge isn't good or healthy. The decision is made to leave each other with the hope to meet once again in the future when they have grown with a stronger mindset.
