Today

Teddy Ruppenthal 1971 (Martinsburg WV)

Today i saw that your heart was broke
My throat seized up and i started to choke
Today i saw the pain in your eyes
And felt every single one of your cries
Today i saw how much you still care
And how much i wish i could just be there
To hold you and say thats all ok
And how we would just make it through someday
Today i saw how saw how bad you where broke
And that your love was never a joke
Today once again i realized  i knew
That nothing will ever compare to you
Today i saw my life disappear
And realized life is nothing without you near
Today once again my heart was just shattered
And how no other love never really mattered.
I have to go on without with me
I just wish that i could somehow make you see
You are my forever and i know that its true
My life will never be complete if there is no you
