One breath

I entangle myself
into your arms
our bodies become one
one breath, one scent, one action
holding me closer
then I've ever been held
fear no longer has a place in my heart
only blood pumping in and out
only love pumping in and out
for myself
for you
for the world around us
the tree spirits tickle my neck
as the breeze pushes us forward
onward towards the light
the dark forever behind
no more, the wars of our past have hold over us
we tread along the path
softly but certain
this is the correct route to follow
the fairies lead us into the land
of mythical beasts tall and grand
only courage exudes our body
we stand tall and make friends
we become one with the world
one breath, one scent, one action
nothing other than beauty in our heart
forever captivated in this magnificent state

About this poem

I wrote this poem about how it feels to be in love; whether that is with a person or things such as nature. Whenever I go into raw nature, I feel a connection like no other. I feel as though I can be myself without judgment or guilt. I hope that the feeling is the same when I fall in love.
