Love conquers all

Elsie Japal Thomas 1989 (St George)

I remember the first day our eyes met,
From then, I knew you were the one,
You were everything I desired in a man,
Sweet, charmed and spontaneous you were,
Making every moment we spent together a special one,
I still recall the first time you held me close,
Placing my head on your chest and squeezing me tightly in your arms,
I could still hear the beating of your heart,
Cuddled in your warm embrace,
I felt love for the first time as I never felt before,
I felt safe.
As years went by, we drifted apart,
As we grew older, we somehow lost our spark,
But we held on, for true love never dies,
As we reminisce on the life we shared,
And the sweet memories we created,
Though bittersweet, we fought through it all,
Because our love for each other conquers all.

Writing is another way to be seen and also an opportunity to get extra cash to turn those dreams into reality. more…
