Jessie Dewayne Leach

stacy frank 1985 (KY)

Just a simple man, walking to his favorite fishing hole.
As, always carrying his bait, and pole.
Tackle box in one hand, cold beer in the other.
No one thought that this man, was one beloved brother.

Taught to walk by his oldest sister.
She didn't care if her fingers blistered.
He didn't have much worldly belongings.
What he didn't have his heart wasn't longing.

On May 25, 2020
He left this world to go to The Land of Plenty.
Even though he didn't want any of us to cry.
God knows we failed, but we did try.

It has been over a year.
Still, we wished we all could hear your laugh, laughing somewhere near.
I hope you wait for me on the Streets of Gold.
