Growing Old

Mark A. England 1960 (Phoenix)

Growing Old

A moment ago, or so it seems,
A young little Lad, so young so Free;
Enjoyable times, I like to Ponder,
Looking back, A life of Wonder;
With teenage years, A challenged time,
Comes Identity, you’ll be just fine;
Adolescence, has it’s moments,
Mixed emotions, full of torment;
Responsibility, takes front and Center,
Leaving home, we all Remeber;
Marriage and Children, Take the Stage,
A glorious venture, we both have Made;
The days have run, the cycle of life,
Enjoying again, with just my Wife;
Old age has set in, And I like the Grey,
Our future is this, we’re here to Stay;
Until we have done, all that we Can,
Fulfilling our purpose, until the End;
Happily taking her hand in mine,
We have yet to enjoy, a bit more time;
