Begotten

"Begotten"
The enemy came in like a flood
The standard's being raised
Lifting up, kindred and blood
The judgment written ends the Age
With Jacob, He'll break the nations
This honor have all His saints
Ark building; covenant to bud

Grafted-in with an expected end
Destined to lose family and wives
A fallen-tree whose branches extend
Teeth that cut; dead in Christ
Satan sifts the "daily sacrifice"
Witnessing first; dueling twice
Begotten; trusted to defend

And to His voice, we hearkened
Defining God near Midnight; we shook
Light shining out of darkness
Woke by a Thief; spoke like a book
To settle His word in heaven; He took
Making the Mediator one; we forsook
Magnifying the law and sharpened

Lightning enlightens; wisdom on our lips
Born again in the wind, beyond four blood moons
Shown the darkness; before the first eclipse
At His appearing, we no longer say "soon"
Coming to His kingdom with a tune
Carved-out from the Rock and hewn
Few finding a narrow path that limp

The eleventh hour, striving in the night
Israel prevailing, counting on Jacob
Making a chain; rounds in this fight
Keeping the word of His patience
Escaping the "hour of temptation"
A tree of life and personal tribulation
From Jacob, He keeps out of sight

In the beginning was the Word
Searching for old ways, for the Lord
The Sun sets on a Western bird
My mouth, crying-out a sword
Repairing the breach; sent to restore
From the desolate, there are more
Raised in Egypt, never to return

Foolish or wicked have no choice
Unlike the fatted-calf in the stall
Falling away, not discerning the voice
Unable to be a brazen wall
In a furnace from the Fall
Chosen by God for one and all
Overcoming is to praise and rejoice

Called in the assignment of grace
A serpent as one: woven on a pole
Echoing the Author; Finisher of our faith
With patience, possessing my soul
Perfect kingdom work; taking it's toll
Serving forever; rolled together like a scroll
A godly love song written, ending the days

Jacob will see his children
The work of God's hands
Seven to eleven years, a pilgrim
Michael stood; his counsel shall stand
Those erring in spirit shall understand
The day of the Lord, now at hand
God would none perish; no nation, no kindred
James 1:18 & Rev 14:4
