Nicki June

Nina Janine 1977 (Lovelock NV)

who wants a mother,
anyways?
when she criticizes you for your friends?
your lifestyle?
your choices?
who wants a mother
that doesn't believe a word you say?
or thinks everything you do is wrong?
who wants a mother you can't trust to tell you the truth?
or have faith in you no matter what?
who wants a mother
to give you their opinion
when you don't want it?
or think it's right?
who wants a mother
that you can't get love from
even though you try?
who wants a mother,
anyways?

a mother is
one to confide in
about friends,
lifestyles,
choices.
a mother is one who believes
every word you say
and thinks everything you do
is right.
a mother is one who is truthful
and has faith in you
one you could trust
no matter what.
a mother is
one who gives opinion
because she knows you need it,
even though you don't.
a mother is
one who gives love,
unconditionally,
and you don't have to try.
who wants a mother anyways?
