Consuming Flame

Lost within the blackness
Fire takes control
My guilt a pain so deep
I’m in constant agony

I am but a shadow
Of the girl
I used to be
There’s a fire in my soul
A fire burning

Fire burning
Raging, within me
Consuming
What’s, left of
The real me
A consuming flame
Within my soul
A fire so strong
It takes control of me
Of me

The memories
Of horrors past
Spins inside
My brain
The pain so so intense
It drives me insane

Let this be a dream
I know it can’t be so
For the memories,
The memories
Will ever flow
Reminding me
Always reminding me
Of the fire burning

Fire burning
Raging within me
Consuming
What’s left of the real me
A consuming flame
Within my soul
A fire so strong
It takes control of me,
Of me
