Train

Rob Loomer 1979 (Las Vegas)

Why can't I deny
Temptations advance
Why can't I say no
When given the chance

How do I not see
The freight train ahead
It's coming right at me
And soon I'll be dead

One hand is tied
To the cold iron track
The other is tied
Behind my back

All I have to do
Is untie my hand
Before the train hits me
Then I can stand

And watch as it closes
In and goes by
Without even a scratch
And I will survive

Instead I just sit there
I know this will hurt
The train's getting closer
As I lay in the dirt

It hits with full force
As a train would
Untie it myself
Oh I wish that I could
