School Days

During school days we get up early.
Thinking to ourselves, “this will be a great day! Surely!”
We get ready in the morning with haste,
With all troubles from the night before erased.
We fool around and do our work poorly,
Thinking “i'll finish this at home shortly”
Checking the clock hoping we’ll be home, nearly,
Our teachers think were such a waste,
During school days.
We walk the halls insecurely,
But our thoughts remain purely,
About having school replaced.
With something more suited to our taste,
But we secretly love it dearly,
During school days.
