Festival of lights ahoy! as the darkness falls,
Soot black night vanishes when we light inspite,

Overheard anywhere and everywhere we go,
Prayers on the street, crackers lighting up the sky in sweep seconds,
Kids, men and women gather together,there is hustle and bustle,
People passing down the street in jovial moods, in delight,
