Old Friends New Lovers

            Old Friends New Lovers
You’ve always been a special friend, from the time we met way back when.
Although you never knew I cared, our friendship was something I was glad to share. I thought it would be a passing thing, like fads of clothes or songs to sing. But as the days and months went by, I never stopped thinking of this special guy. Then all of a sudden it was plain to see, feelings had changed between you and me. We weren’t the friends we used to be. We were as close as two could be. I think I’m falling in love with you, I hope someday you’ll love me too. If feelings should change between me and you, may we always be Friends if lovers won’t do.

About this poem
