Colors of Me
I've got so many colors
Flowing like rivers running through me
My edges are all muddy
and worn out from time
I have never wanted to be
Just black and white
All my images the same
Uniform and picture perfect
Never rang with truth for me
As the raindrops
Touch me like I'm paper
Blurring all my colors into one
You just hold me until it's over
And warm me through
You're my sun
You catch me as I just keep falling
Coloring all your shades of gray
Mixing us together, always changing
Each and every
Single Day
I'll never be able to be something
One dimensional and clear
You know this but still love me
The sweetest words
I'll ever hear.
